Drain Root Cutting & Removal

Are tree roots destroying your drainage system? We use specialist electro-mechanical flails and high-pressure water cutters to slice through dense root masses and restore full flow to your pipes.

Why Are Roots in My Drains?

Tree and shrub roots are constantly searching for moisture and nutrients. Even a microscopic hairline crack or a displaced joint in a clay pipe releases condensation into the surrounding soil. Roots detect this, infiltrate the pipe, and rapidly expand.

The Warning Signs:

  • Slow draining toilets and sinks that standard plunging won't fix.
  • Gurgling sounds coming from your plugholes.
  • Toilet paper and waste snagging, causing frequent recurring blockages.
  • Unpleasant sewer smells around your property boundaries.

Our 3-Step Solution

1. Diagnostics: We send a CCTV camera into the line to measure the exact location and density of the root mass.

2. Mechanical Cutting: We deploy rotating steel flails or high-pressure root-cutting jetters to shred the roots back to the pipe wall without damaging the drain itself.

3. Permanent Sealing: Once cleared, we strongly recommend patching or relining the pipe. If the crack isn't sealed, the roots will grow back.

Advanced Root Removal Technology

Standard drain unblocking rods cannot clear tree roots—they simply push past them. We utilize heavy-duty commercial equipment to get the job done right the first time:

Electro-Mechanical Milling

High-speed rotary machines with chain flail attachments that spin rapidly, cutting away solid taproots and grinding them into easily flushable debris.

High-Pressure Water Cutters

Jetting units operating at up to 4,000 PSI with specialist forward-facing cutting nozzles to slice through fibrous root mats safely and efficiently.
